Situation

Single, self employed and approaching retirement.

Assessment

Bob did not have enough superannuation for retirement. He owned his home but it was too big for him. His self employed income was reducing post Covid.

Obstacle

Sell the home, find suitable investment(s) for passive income and capital growth.

Solution

YRHM was Bob’s Vendor Advocate for the sale of his home. Sale proceeds were used as a deposit to build a turnkey house and land package (dual occupancy) in WA in 2023, with capital growth reaching 30% since completion plus great rental income.

Bob also set up a SMSF and rolled his current super balance over to it. He then purchased an investment property in the SMSF which he recently sold for a great profit, which he used to reduce the dual occupancy investment liability for a greater ROI for income.

Outcome

Passive income from WA property investment, property capital growth continues to be maintained.
